5G Foundations (AA-5G-Intro)

Course Description

This course is geared towards trainees with a broad range of expertise, from administrative and call center personnel to technical staff, as well as wireless and network engineers. We begin by defining what 5G is and comparing it with previous generations of mobile communications. Some of the most important capabilities of the technology are showcased including specific application areas and scenarios.

The course is interspersed with six case studies that describe real-world applications of 5G infrastructure in some specific areas to help demonstrate the technology.

In addition, several exercises and thought experiments will be performed in the course with the help of the instructor and a workbook, to engage trainees in discussion and logical reasoning and further help them understand 5G, related technologies, as well as associated applications.
